Dear client, partner or fan of new AI technologies!
Welcome to our first newsletter of the year. I was asked the other day by an attendee of a lecture on artificial intelligence, "Could you predict where AI will be in, say, fifteen years?"
I replayed the last few years' developments in my head and admitted to myself that I couldn't do that. But let's at least try to look at what's coming this year.
In addition to the release of new versions of global tools like ChatGPT 5 (where it's still just anecdotal speculation as to the date), we can look forward to further development of our applications that will make both our work and personal lives more enjoyable. And we will keep you up to date with those in this newsletter.
This year, however, one factor is already certain: the EU AI Act adopted in December 2023. Its main objective is to ensure the safe and reliable development of AI systems that respect fundamental human rights and comply with ethical standards. But it will place significant demands on the suppliers of these systems, especially those with higher risks. That is why this law has been set to be enforceable only from 2025, and this year is intended to serve as a preparatory period. Time will tell whether this regulation (or rather 'how much of it') is not only a boon to the protection of people's rights, which is undoubtedly necessary, but also a hindrance to European companies compared to other areas of the world where it is not so consistently set.
We understand that your email inbox is a personal space, and we want to respect that. If at any time you decide that you no longer wish to receive this information, please click on the "Manage Preferences" link at the bottom of our email.

People have developed an emotional relationship with AI
They wanted the artificial Thomas to call them daily
On the one hand is our fascination with technology that can not only effectively automate communication, but also create natural-sounding voices indistinguishable from real ones.
On the other, we strive for the human dimension - creating products that not only make life easier, but can also have a positive impact on human emotions and social interactions.

When you listen to audio messages, can you tell when robots are reading them to you?
We'll stick with perfect-sounding voices for a while. On the seznamzpravy.cz news website, in the "We read the news to you" section, you can not only read but also listen to a number of articles. Have you noticed that new voices have been reading articles in recent weeks? There are several, and the fact that they take turns reading within the same article makes listening even more enjoyable. Listen to them for yourself, just click on the "čteme vám seznam zprávy" link.
Many people in your IT department are faced with urgent requests from users who need to pull something nimbly from company data or create an ad-hoc report. Unless they are an IT person dedicated to this work, they probably have a number of other tasks. And if it is a developer, for example, then every such user request means interrupting the distributed work, letting go of the constructs that have taken up residence there, and getting on with it. Well, after solving it, start rebuilding your developer buffer in your head under the motto "where did I just end up and what did I want to do".
mDataChat will save them time. Users can formulate their requests in natural language and get the outputs in both data and graphical form. This functionality is provided by a combination of a large language model linked to other supporting agents. You can try this demo built on the Titanic passenger list for yourself, just click on the image.
